Step three? I hope you’re seated!

In a shocking turnabout, we’ve decided to take the house (er, condo) off the market.  What?  But, Kate, you just put it on the market!  I know, I know.  But, in getting ready for last week’s open house (to which only one, but seemingly genuinely, guy attended and liked the place); I pretty much came to the conclusion that it was not the right time to move; that I love the place; that I love the location; and that moving now is just not necessary.  I know, peeps, you must be shocked and worried about my mental health.  I assure you all is ok (or, rather, as ok as it has been).

So, stay tuned for possible updates on fixer-upper stuff…And if anyone has advice or suggestions on peeps to talk to/hire about doing kitchen or “lover level” (I’ve decided calling it the basement is just bad sense) remodeling, I’d love to hear it…

And stay tuned for pics from the 3rd annual Cambridge, WI Barktoberfest!  Though damn chilly (the snow held off!), it was a fun time for peeps and hounds.  Wait, wait…here they are!  Make sure to try to fully understand the size of the English Mastiff (200 lbs.); my pics don’t do him justice.

UPDATE: Design appointment scheduled with Big Box Depot on Thursday evening.

Gracie looks so teeny next to that mastiff!

Design appointment? Since we are always in the midst of home improvement, and in particular have our kitchen and basement (excuse me, “home theather”) project lists going, I am very intrigued!

Hooray! I’ll keep you posted. I hope this really happens and (a) isn’t a total disaster and (b) well, isn’t a disaster at all.

You must let Maddie and me know when Barktoberfest is next year. While I don’t think that Miss Shannon would be particularly excited about it, it would be right up Miss Maddie’s alley. She is my social butterfly who loves every dog, cat, and person in the world.

Ohmygosh, yes! Maddie and Barktoberfest. I hope Clancy and Bally can fit it into their calendars, too.

Let me know how that deisgn appointment goes. That is so exciting. We just hired people to waterproof our lower level, which I hope will be the 1st step toward finisihing it. They’re putting in flooring that I hope won’t be too ugly.

There is a mastiff in our neighborhood who is so scary big. Cute pics!

I love the Barktoberfest pics! That Mastiff is insane- his head is gigantic! He and Gracie make quite a pair. I”m excited that you decided to hold on to your home. I think it’s the perfect choice. Keep us posted about any changes you consider/ or make! Fun!
