I am really kicking myself for taking this long to make a new post. I have had lots of ideas for topics, but have yet to sit down and write about any of them. As you may have noticed. I’m really just writing this post so that you don’t forget about me or give up on me (I’m hoping that you haven’t already).
In my defense, November has been a rough month. It’s the month where I really remember that winter is coming again and that it’s going to be dark too much of the time. Even when it’s day, it’s dark. And then there was the election, which was incredibly disappointing. It’s not a good time to be a State worker. Sometimes I can’t believe that my parents, one a State attorney like me and the other a social worker for the county, raised a family in Nakoma — they had a nice house, good meals, sent me to camps and college…I can barely afford my one-bedroom condo. Anyway, yes, the election. And I got some disappointing personal news, as well. So, not a good month.
I am trying to look on the bright side, though. Aaron and I are hosting 15 for Thanksgiving on Thursday and continuing to plan our New Year’s Eve party, which this year will be in Door County and will include a wedding. Here’s to hoping December is a beautiful month!
[Addendum: yesterday’s game was fantastic! While I think firing Childress is probably the right thing to do, they really need to bench Favre. That Jackson looks like he could be a good quarterback, but he’s never going to be as long as the Drama King stays in the game. The problem with benching Favre, though, seems to be that he might not come out — he doesn’t appear to listen to anyone — so then they’d have a 12-men-on-the-field problem.]
November was a tough one, but from hear on out I think it will be fabulous! 15 for Thanksgiving? That’s no small feat. Luckily it’s you, who is brilliant at hosting, not me who is shines more in other areas, such as not hosting. Hee.
I can’t wait for the NYE party and wedding! What a great way to ring in the new year! Fancy dresses and wonderful people all gathering around to celebrate love.
See you soon my chicken!
See you SO soon! But since we have some time before then, why don’t you tell everyone your Fred Savage story? Great!
What? Sarayu is dating Fred Savage? OMG!
Bummer about November, and although it’s sunny today, I do not appreciate the temperature. But, December will definitely be better. After all, it is my month of birthday, so what’s not to like?
True, true. Month of Birthday! It is also one month before my MOB, so it’s good for that reason, too.
It is completely winter out there! Where did that come from and why did I not wear a hat today?
Agh, yesterday was a nasty winter day! WTF hail the day before?
Yay on your wedding coming up! What a great way to cap off the holiday season!
It’ll be interesting to see if Favre rebounds at all now with Chilly out of the picture. I read somewhere that the only guy in the NFL who believes in Jackson is Chilly… but B. is going to have to make quite the turnaround. I know it’s petty, but I think if I were A-Rod right now, I’d be smirking my rear end off about Brett’s demise, “reconsidering,” etc.
I don’t think it’s petty! I am smirking and I’m not even Rodgers. I wanted to see the Rodgers/Favre post-game interaction, but I didn’t see anyting, did you? On a semi-related note, I just want you to know, Sara, that I am acutely aware that I am BARELY beating fantasy teams that continue to play Jermichael Finley and Tony Romo every week. It’s humiliating.
Months of birthdays are the best! Yay for Heather and Kate, and December and January respectively!
Yes, Fred and I are in love! Which is weird since he’s happily married with adorable children and has no interest in being unfaithful… Ok, ok, we are not so much in love as I’m in love with him. Since it doesn’t look like we’ll be together though, I’ll tell you the real reason I was excited which was that he thought of me for a role. This, for fairly obvious reasons made me SUPER happy. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
hooray! you are back! And December will be a great month; full of celebrations.
