Our double hung windows finally doing the work that nature intended!
When we moved in, there were no screens on any of the upper windows, making the genius of the double hung window lost. And the storms were ugly ‘silver,’ not matching the window frames, and many of them wouldn’t open without a lot of brawn. Am I right @sarayublue?! Oy. So, to solve these problems, we enlisted our local favorite, Martin Glass. We kept the beautiful 1913 original windows (because perish the thought of losing that wavy glass and craftsmanship), but we had the crappy storms and screens replaced and had the screens run the length of the window! Voila!
