This decision to put Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show – and Fallon’s acceptance of the job – is the best thing that’s happened EVER. EVER. EVER.

It is SUCH a nice change. I’ve never really liked Letterman, so I’m delighted as well.
Yeah, he’s just too mean. I know everyone says it, but I’m going to say it again anyway. JF is so great because he seems so genuinely happy and interested in people. Did you read the piece on him in Vanity Fair? It was pretty great. Lorne Michaels made a point of saying JF always wanted other people to be funny, too. He knows that someone else being funny doesn’t mean he isn’t funny – it means there’s just more funny! I think this could be super good for poor NBC.
