Really? You sound like Soglin. I just hope they get replaced by something! Landlords on SS charge way too much rent for small retail to succeed (from what I’ve read), and I don’t know how the city has helped that. It makes me really sad. I also really wish the city would get buses off SS—something I’ve advocated for for 25+ years. It’s not a pedestrian mall with all that damn traffic and noise. It could be such a cool space, but we get in its way.
