We got Ginger when Tim was about 18 months old, and of all our dogs she was probably the best all-around family dog. She took her job of protecting Tim very seriously including blocking him when she thought he was getting too close to the road and taking on a St. Bernard she thought was a threat to him. She was by far the least “needy” of any of our dogs, probably because Mama was too busy with Tim to over-care for her. Of course there will be days when when you will wonder what solar system you were floating in when you made the decision to get a puppy, but those will be few and the majority will be like the one captured in this adorable picture.
